Transfer your black P2 controller from the JellyFishP2 app to the JellyFish Designer App

  1. Get the JellyFish Designer app from your app store.
  2. Ensure your black Pro2 controller is powered on (use the switch on the left side).
  3. Verify the controller is connected to your home WiFi network.
  4. To check this, connect your phone to your home WiFi and control your lights using the old JellyFishP2 app.
  5. If your controller isn’t connected to WiFi, you’ll need to relocate your controller to an area with WiFi, as it requires a WiFi connection for updates.
  6. Launch the JellyFish Designer app.
  7. When the app starts, it will automatically check for version 1 firmware and prompt you to update to JellyFish Designer (the latest version).
  8. If it doesn’t prompt you to update the first time, close and reopen the JellyFish Designer app. It will rescan for version 1 firmware and prompt for the update.
  9. Select “Yes”.
  10. The update process will take some time.
  11. After updating your controller, the JellyFishP2 App will no longer be able to control the controller.
  12. Following the update, the router connected to the controller needs to be rebooted (unplugged and plugged back in) to reset the IP/MAC addresses.
