Transfer your black P2 controller from the JellyFishP2 app to the JellyFish Designer App
- Get the JellyFish Designer app from your app store.
- Ensure your black Pro2 controller is powered on (use the switch on the left side).
- Verify the controller is connected to your home WiFi network.
- To check this, connect your phone to your home WiFi and control your lights using the old JellyFishP2 app.
- If your controller isn’t connected to WiFi, you’ll need to relocate your controller to an area with WiFi, as it requires a WiFi connection for updates.
- Launch the JellyFish Designer app.
- When the app starts, it will automatically check for version 1 firmware and prompt you to update to JellyFish Designer (the latest version).
- If it doesn’t prompt you to update the first time, close and reopen the JellyFish Designer app. It will rescan for version 1 firmware and prompt for the update.
- Select “Yes”.
- The update process will take some time.
- After updating your controller, the JellyFishP2 App will no longer be able to control the controller.
- Following the update, the router connected to the controller needs to be rebooted (unplugged and plugged back in) to reset the IP/MAC addresses.
