Troubleshooting TP-Link WiFi Extender Issues

  1. Use a small nail or paper clip to reset the extender. Locate the hole on either the top or bottom of the extender (this may vary depending on how it’s plugged in). Insert the paper clip into the hole until all the lights illuminate, then let go.
  2. Disconnect the extender and plug it into a power outlet in the same room as the router. Wait until the first light stays solid.
  3. Press the “wps” button on the extender. Next, locate and press the “WPS” button on the router.
  4. After about a minute, you should see four blue lights (or yellow, depending on the extender model).
  5. Reconnect the extender to an outlet near your JellyFish controller and ensure the Ethernet cable is attached.
  6. Use the toggle switch to turn off the JellyFish controller and then reboot it.
  7. The date and time should refresh, and you should see #9 in the top right corner of the controller display.
